Flexibility is a main component. \u201cThere is always more than one right answer\u2014so we start with functionality and then the aesthetic options fall into place,\u201d Healey explains. \u201cHaving children of my own, I understand how to blend high-end, modern architecture with choices that can grow with a family.\u201d Sustainability is another important consideration; many of Healey\u2019s projects involve rehabilitating and modernizing historic homes.<\/p>\n
Healey designs the interiors for most projects and takes on everything from small additions to new homes in the Mid-Atlantic region. Her firm has received more than 75 local and national awards in the past few years.<\/p>\n
