Sandra Meyer launched Ella Scott Design (ESD) in 2001 after leaving a career in health care. She now leads a team of six professionals working on projects from new builds to complete renovations and comprehensive whole-house furnishings. Although focused in the DMV area, the firm has taken on projects in Miami, Martha\u2019s Vineyard and New Jersey. \u201cOur goal,\u201d Meyer says, \u201cis to create truly unique, timeless homes tailored to each of our clients.\u201d<\/p>\n
Meyer and her team begin each project with clients\u2019 desires in mind, while also incorporating their expertise to find innovative solutions to the challenges every project presents. \u201cEach project begins by understanding our client\u2019s vision for their home,\u201d she explains. Ella Scott Design works closely with architects, builders and subcontractors to ensure every inch of a client\u2019s home is up to ESD\u2019s standards.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt the end of the day, we view our clients as influencers, and our role is to collaborate with them on a unified style and aesthetic,\u201d Meyer reflects. \u201cThis partnership often encourages them to explore beyond their typical comfort zone, resulting in a home they can grow into\u2014and one that will stand the test of time.\u201d<\/p>\n
