Balodemas Architects is a six-person design firm founded in 1988 by principal Lou Balodemas.<\/p>\n
As a DC-native, Balodemas gained a lasting appreciation of the formality, monumentality and broad stylistic possibilities found in the city as it was transforming. Prominent projects like I.M. Pei\u2019s East Wing of the National Gallery and the political, creative and technical processes behind them led to a deeper interest in architecture.<\/p>\n
The firm specializes in transformational residential work, approaching each project as an opportunity to meet clients\u2019 needs in fresh and modern ways.<\/p>\n
