From an early age, Shawna Dillon learned to appreciate the idea of home and the personal elements that give it meaning. \u201cAs a child, I was deeply aware of how different spaces made me feel and curious about why,\u201d she recalls. She later enrolled in the design program at Virginia Tech, which taught a rigorous, analytical approach and reinforced that aesthetics are only a part of the process. \u201cI learned that beauty is the result of countless decisions that ensure a space feels proportioned, comfortable, healthy and safe,\u201d Dillon explains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After working as a residential designer, Dillon turned to kitchen design and founded Studio Snaidero DC Metro in 2014. The Old Town Alexandria showroom spotlights made-in-Italy products, emphasizing eco-responsible materials and sustainable production. \u201cWe curate specialized kitchen, bath and storage solutions,\u201d Dillon says. Made-to-measure installs combine advanced technology with Italian craftsmanship and exacting detail.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
