Michael Patrick\u2019s world was shaped by two architect parents who inspired an early passion in him for the profession. \u201cMy path was to fall ever more in love with architecture,\u201d he recounts. \u201cI eventually followed my mother to a high-end residential firm, then joined BarnesVanze in 2014.\u201d<\/p>\n
With two other principals, Ellen Hatton and Wayne Adams, Patrick leads a staff of 23 executing projects across the Mid-Atlantic and beyond; Ankie Barnes and Stephen Vanze, who cofounded the firm in 1988, remain on staff. \u201cOur tagline, \u2018beauty and authenticity in architecture,\u2019 expresses the fusion of historic knowledge and design expertise that we embody in our work,\u201d Patrick observes. \u201cThe firm\u2019s extensive experience with the great traditions of architecture makes its work richer.\u201d<\/p>\n
