While pursuing a career as an actor and singer, Diana Lombard discovered a passion for interior design when she enrolled in a drafting class at the Fashion Institute of Technology. She went on to earn her design degree, then worked for prominent designers in New York and Houston before founding her boutique firm in 2013.

Today, Diana Lombard Interiors specializes in whole-home furnishings, renovations and new builds, with projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic and beyond. “We are known for creating layered, lived-in and highly personal interiors that reflect each client and the character of their home, rather than embracing a single aesthetic approach,” Lombard says. “My design philosophy centers on the belief that creativity breeds joy, that a home should delight and inspire—and that sophisticated use of color plays an important role in that experience.”

Projects begin with a strong understanding of how clients live and what they value in their homes, followed by a thoughtful process that considers both function and aesthetic direction. “As principal, I am closely involved in each project, guiding the creative vision and working collaboratively with clients, vendors and trades,” Lombard notes. “We prioritize transparency and careful sourcing. The homes we design feel personal, enduring and intentional.”
