Brinitzer Landscape Architecture

Scott Brinitzer, PLA, ASLA

Scott Brinitzer grew up beside the George Washington Parkway—a roadway complemented by parks and bike trails created for community enjoyment. “Experiencing these shared public spaces helped me understand the value of landscape architecture and its profound impact on quality of life,” he reflects. “I aspired to become a landscape architect before I was even aware the profession existed.”

Brinitzer founded his firm in 1988, evolving it over time from a residential landscape design/build company to a design-focused, boutique firm with projects across the Eastern U.S. and France. “I continuously evaluate and refine my work, critically assessing what I create,” he notes. “I believe learning is never complete and each project presents an opportunity to grow and improve as a designer.”

Clients retain Brinitzer and his team as project managers as well as designers, so they guide each project from initial design through contractor selection and construction. “Our landscapes and gardens are approachable, comfortable and grounded in a sense of place,” Brinitzer observes. “They foster connection and bring people together, supporting individual enjoyment and community interaction. Each project is an opportunity to educate and inspire, highlighting thoughtful design while demonstrating how landscapes can support native plant and insect ecosystems.”
