Talha Gursoy was raised around construction and saw early on how thoughtful planning could change how a home functions and feels, influencing daily life. “Over time, I realized good design is not just visual,” he says. “It is strategic, technical and deeply personal to the people who live in a space.”

Boss Design Center was founded as a design-forward remodeling company specializing in residential renovations in Northern Virginia and the greater DMV area. While the firm always focused on comprehensive kitchen and bathroom remodels, services now include structural modifications, first-floor reconfigurations and two-story additions. “My experience in both design and construction has taught me that creativity must align with structural realities, building codes and budget parameters,” Gursoy remarks. “I design with buildability in mind, minimizing surprises during construction and balancing aesthetic clarity with technical precision and disciplined project management.”

Clients work with a single team from concept development through construction. An initial discovery phase helps the team understand the clients’ needs and vision and clarifies the project’s scope early. “As principal and head designer, I oversee design development and serve as primary point of contact,” explains Gursoy. “We collaborate with licensed trade professionals and engineers when required. Our specialty is custom solutions that significantly impact outcomes.”
