Katherine Crosby grew up around artists, and studied art history in college and abroad, which planted the seed for a love of architecture and cultural influences. But it was winning a scholarship to Sotheby’s American Arts Course that inspired her love of interior spaces as works of art in and of themselves. A master’s degree from the New England School of Art and Design solidified her path to interior design.

Crosby joined Baltimore-based Jenkins Baer Associates in 2008 and purchased the firm in 2024, establishing Crosby Jenkins Associates. She leads a team of 25, six of whom are associate designers. “We specialize in high-end residential interiors, with a strong commitment to cultivating meaningful relationships with clients and contractor partners,” Crosby says.

Designers at Crosby Jenkins Associates begin by engaging in thoughtful, in-depth conversation to understand clients’ goals, expectations, lifestyle and budget, then formulate a clear, schematic design concept—using imagery and preliminary selections—that aligns with their vision. “As we progress, we refine elements, coordinate with architects and contractors and provide comprehensive documentation to guide construction seamlessly,” Crosby explains. “We manage the many moving parts of the project and ultimately deliver beautifully installed interiors that reflect our clients’ personalities and the way they live.”
