Pascale de Fouchier

For years, Pascale de Fouchier practiced architecture in Paris, specializing in interior spaces. After moving to the U.S., she founded Pascale de Fouchier Interiors in 2021. “I missed the smell of a construction site, the collaboration with contractors, the close contact with clients,” she reflects. “Residential interior design put me at the center of all of it.”

De Fouchier grew up in France with an American mother, so she channels two sensibilities she describes as “a French understanding of restraint and material integrity versus American pragmatism and generosity of spirit.” She brings both to her boutique practice, handling every project directly from first brief through installation. Her work spans renovations, additions and large-scale new construction with projects across the Mid-Atlantic and France.

“What I care about most is listening,” de Fouchier says. “Trust takes time to build, and I take that seriously. Every decision has a reason behind it; nothing is arbitrary or purely decorative. That care—for my clients, for the way they live, for the bones of a house—is what I bring to every project and what I hope is felt long after the work is done.”

Projects by Pascale de Fouchier Interiors have appeared in Washingtonian, Mansion Global, Aspire and Home & Design.
