Purple Cherry Architecture & Interiors has been creating high-end residences throughout the U.S. for more than 30 years. Raised by an aeronautical engineer father and a mother who was a performance artist, Cathy Purple Cherry “grew up exposed to both the creative and analytical sides of the brain,” she shares. “That combination truly shapes my approach to architecture.” Also formative for her was having a brother with Down syndrome and then raising an autistic son—life experiences that deeply shaped the way she thinks about design. “I saw firsthand how environment can influence emotions and behaviors,” she says. “This instilled in me the belief that spaces should be intentionally and functionally designed for the people living in them.”

Currently, a staff of more than 40 across three offices orchestrates complex site planning initiatives, renovation projects and new custom homes in a range of styles. Comprehensive interior design services are also offered.

“We guide clients through the design process, considering not only physical forms but the emotional connections they will have with their homes,” Purple Cherry notes. “Active listening fuels our creativity, helping us achieve environments that embrace livable luxury—elevated and detailed but not precious or untouchable.”
