At Farnady Interiors, design begins with discovery. Founder and principal designer Katalin Farnady approaches every project as a deeply personal collaboration, uncovering her clients’ stories and translating them into layered, expressive interiors that are also comfortable. She launched her award-winning firm in 2004, and has introduced furniture, lighting and brand collaborations into her business.

Farnady’s own design sensibilities were formed by her experiences growing up in Hungary and traveling the world—she still travels for inspiration and as a method of discovering new perspectives. “Intuition plays a huge role in all my projects,” she observes, “and I strive to deliver something unexpected in each project.”

The designer is known for her high-end, maximalist spaces and a fearless approach to pattern, texture and materiality. Her sculptural furniture choices add form and movement, so each room unfolds as a curated journey, layered with details. Yet Farnady also grounds her work in a respect for architectural integrity and design history, merging classic design principles with bold, contemporary expression. The resulting spaces
honor tradition, while feeling fresh, elevated and personal.
