From an early age, Shawna Dillon learned to appreciate the idea of home and the personal elements that give it meaning. “As a child, I was deeply aware of how different spaces made me feel and curious about why,” she recalls. She later enrolled in the design program at Virginia Tech, which taught a rigorous, analytical approach and reinforced that aesthetics are only a part of the process. “I learned that beauty is the result of countless decisions that ensure a space feels proportioned, comfortable, healthy and safe,” Dillon explains.

After working as a residential designer, Dillon turned to kitchen design and founded Studio Snaidero DC Metro in 2014. The Old Town Alexandria showroom spotlights made-in-Italy products, emphasizing eco-responsible materials and sustainable production. “We curate specialized kitchen, bath and storage solutions,” Dillon says. Made-to-measure installs combine advanced technology with Italian craftsmanship and exacting detail. 

A commitment to exceptional customer service and personal attention guides the company. “Every project is a collaboration,” Dillon avers. “We recognize that no two clients—or homes—are alike.” 

During the last two years, Studio Snaidero DC Metro has received design awards from ASID, Kitchen & Bath Business, NKBA and Modern Luxury’s Design 9.
